Once again, I found myself struggling and struggling with picking just ONE pix for this week's PIX OF THE WEEK series. I got so many amazing shots of Alma it was really tough. She's got amazing skin, beautiful eyes and one of the most engaging looks a photographer could ever hope for. I finally just told myself no matter which one you pick, it will be very nice.

Lighting couldn't have been much more simpler - a Dynalite 4040 head mounted in a soft box to the camera right triggered remotely by a PocketWizard Plus II.

Exposure was 1/160th of a second at F16 at 100 ISO (focal length was set at 140mm)

Keb’ Mo’ is a 3-time Grammy Award winning blues artist and in my opinion, by far the best contemporary blues artist on the planet today. Born Kevin Moore in South Central Los Angeles to parents from the Deep South, Keb’ Mo’ has picked up the Delta Blues sound where the greats like Muddy Waters left off.

I particularly like this image because of the resonator guitar which one doesn’t see very often in pictures of musicians today. I won’t say much more about Mr. Moore other than if you haven’t ever had a chance to see him perform live – you are missing a truly wonderful performer, songwriter and bluesman.
