LOCATION: Fort Ethan Allen Studio (Colchester, VT) LENS: Canon 24-105mm F4 IS L series DATE: March 2008 December, 2007
I wanted to do something a bit different instead of all the cliché baby pix everyone sees so I had the baby's father lay on the ground holding the infant up in the air against a black backdrop. I lit the baby (9 weeks old) with a single softbox mounted high overheadangled down. And yes, if you are thinking if there was an accident there was (and we were warned too by the baby's mother warned us that as soon as we remove the diaper, expect a little accident). Luckily for me (but not so lucky for the baby's father), I was ableto get out of the way quickly.
Lighting provided by a single Dynalite flash head mounted in a softbox fired remotely with a PocketWizard Plus II. Exposure F13 at 1/200th of a second at 100 ISO.
